Changes to junior high sports programs

Forest Lake Area Schools will be changing the way 7th and 8th grade athletics will be offered, starting in the 2016-2017 school year. Despite what may have been incorrectly reported online, 7th and 8th grade students will still be able to participate in sports next year. These sports are not being eliminated. Public meetings have been planned throughout the rest of April and into May at our elementary schools to discuss the plan. Parents, students and members of the public are invited to discuss the district's options and proposals. For more information about the reasons these changes are being made, please click here to read a message from Superintendent Linda Madsen and Activities Director Aaron Forsythe.
